My experience with Healing House was truly transformative. When my husband of 30 years passed away, I didn’t know how to move forward and was experiencing deep grief and panic attacks. I had a wonderful experience! I loved the cacao ceremony and releasing the lantern and the breathwork beforehand added a lot to the weekend. Was such a joy to come and meet all of you. The breathwork immediately before ceremony was perfect and grounding, great way to launch into the headspace! Cacao was new to me and I really enjoyed. Rapé not so much, but as someone said, “it was an experience”! Yoga was a good touch too. I’ve never done any of those things at previous retreats. Keep doing the lord’s work! Best New Years I’ve had in a long time and I’m super grateful for the experience. You guys are awesome and I’m fortunate to have met you. I look forward to working with you guys again in the future. You and Kim changed my life! You’ve done something amazing, I’ve gone my entire life with suicide going through my mind as an option. The main reason I’m still here is my son. This past New Year’s Eve, April, and August at ceremony, started changing everything for me, I’ve made progress and I know I have a long way to go. A few weeks ago I had the realization that for all the hell I went through in 2023, I consider it the greatest year of my life. I grew this year, My God I now volunteer at a homeless shelter. I have a strong appreciation for life that I’ve never had at any other time. I feel as though I want to give back, you’ve taken the hell you’ve been through and you’ve turned it into something positive. You and Kim have been two major influences in my life, you’ve carried one hell of a burden. Less than a year ago I was on suicide watch, today I have hope. You’ve made a difference, I haven’t told you a fraction of what I want to – yes I did the work, I traveled the road, but dammit you gave me the map!

Rich and Kim, it’s been a week since the retreat and I feel like a new person. The medicine helped me to process so much trauma that I’ve been carrying from my childhood. I didn’t realize how this trauma impacted my self esteem, my ability to remain embodied, and caused me to constantly feel this underlying sense of shame… I was sitting in a park this weekend with my wife and I realized the reason I’m able to stay present, without constantly feeling like I need to be doing something, is that I feel safe in my body for the first time that I can remember.
